Food Processing OEM

Project Overview

Provide control systems for a food processing OEM. Dahlen Systems, Inc. primary role includes the design and purchase of the control system, programming the control system, plant checkout, start-up and operator training.

The machines are cooker/coolers that are used for blanching and cooking rice, vegetables or pasta. The machines are setup to use a recipe system that allows the operator to change set points. The system monitors temperature and retention times for cooking and cooling; and controls the motors, solenoids, etc. Each piece of equipment controlled by our system had an automatic mode and a manual mode for maintenance and testing. All of the systems function in full automatic with minimal operator intervention.
